FAA-Recognized Identification Area (FRIA)
FAA-Recognized Identification Area (FRIA) status has been extended to more than 1,600 AMA club flying fields. AMA staff continue to work hard on behalf of clubs to process a few hundred more and appeal and reverse those that were not granted FRIA status. The FAA has published a map that identifies FRIA sites throughout the US.
