CONSTITUTION AND BY-LAWS

ARTICLE I
Name
The name of this float model aircraft flying club shall be the: LAKE POWAY SKIMMERS.
ARTICLE II Purpose
The purpose of this non-profit AMA sanctioned model airplane club is to provide an entity to interface with the Community Services Department of the City of Poway, so that radio controlled model seaplanes may use Lake Poway as a recreation facility and operating site in a
safe, orderly, and approved manner. Boats are not allowed on the lake.
ARTICLE III Function
The function of the club shall be to establish, in
conjunction with the Community Services Department of the City of Poway, rules and procedures for the safe and orderly flight operations from the lake, to control and supervise those operations and if required, to engage in
a system of reservation for the scheduling of users.
ARTICLE IV Membership and Qualifications
Membership in the club will be open to anyone who is a current member of the AMA, and who can furnish a reference from any club within the San Diego Association of
Modelers or this club of their ability to solo a radio controlled model aircraft competently.
ARTICLE V Officers
The officers of this club shall be President, Vice
President, Secretary, Treasurer, Safety Officer, News
Letter Editor, and Field Marshalls. Officer/member may hold multiple roles.
ARTICLE VI Organization
There will be no regular meetings and all new members
will apply and be accepted for membership at the Lake
Poway flying site. A minimal fee shall be charged for administrative purposes and annual dues will be assessed.
ARTICLE VII Rules and Regulations
Only current members of this club are authorized to use
the Lake Poway Recreation Area for the purpose of flying
radio controlled model seaplanes. All members will comply
with the AMA Safety Code and any other rules established by the club or the Community Services Department of the
City of Poway. Violations shall be considered cause for
revocation of club membership and expulsion. See map of flight area: MAP
