President’s Message for Nov 2025

Year 2025 has been one of the best for Poway lake flying. The water has been up, the weeds have not been a problem and the weather has been perfect. The months of September and October have been the best so far. I hope the next two months have the same great weather. In looking back, we have really not had a bad flying day all year. 

Our flying site is severely threatened. We will have to pull together as a club, in order to save our flying privileges at the lake. After 36 years of supporting our use of the lake, the city of Poway has sent a notice that we will not be able to continue to fly off the lake after the end of this year. 

We will be working with the local media, sending positive letters and attending city meetings to pitch our desire to continue using the lake in the future. 

As a club we are not giving up on this.
